For the uneducated a "woody" is an erect penis. So it is natural that a man with a insatiable appetite for women has the word "wood" in his name. A "wood" is also a type of golf club that is used for longer drives. So it is also natural for a man who handles a golf club with such dexterity, to also handle his woody just as well.
